Modesto Junior College will celebrate the reopening of Founders Hall on East Campus with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, August 26 at 8 a.m. and the public is invited to attend. MJC and Yosemite Community College District (YCCD) officials will open the facility with a brief ribbon cutting and refreshments will be provided. Founders Hall is the largest classroom building on campus and provides the space for classes in English, Math, Sociology, Business, Psychology and Speech Communication.
Founders Hall was funded by the Measure E facilities bond approved in November of 2004. The project contractor was Acme Construction Company of Modesto. The total cost of this project was 12 million dollars including construction, furniture, and technology upgrades. MJC has several Measure E project currently underway including construction of a new Student Services Building on East Campus and construction of the Agriculture Pavilion, Allied Health Building and Science Building on West Campus.
