While at CSUF Snaer accomplished many feats, including being the California/Nevada State Champion in the 100 meter, 4x100 meter, and 4x400 meter and he also qualified for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) National Championships twice as an indoor and outdoor athlete. He is the only sprinter in CSU Fresno's track and field history to be on both record holding relay teams. He is also listed as one of the top ten performers in the history of the college for both the 100 meter and 200 meter events. Snaer's other athletic accomplishments include Junior College State and National Champion, as well as Junior National and NCAA All-American.
Snaer also had an impressive academic record in college which placed him on the Dean's List. After graduating from CSU Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, he earned a Master's degree in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific University.
Snaer's coaching career began immediately after college in 1998 at East Union High as an assistant jumps coach. He then coached at San Joaquin Delta College from 2000-2003 before accepting an assistant sprint coaching position at MJC in 2004. Snaer was hired as a full time faculty member at MJC in 2008, where he teaches health and physical education classes and, in addition to track and field, serves at head coach of the men's cross country team.
