MJC's Calendar of Events

  • 9/11   A Tribute to Patsy Cline starring Joni Morris & the After Midnight Band, 7:30 p.m., Auditorium of the Performing and Media Arts Center, East Campus. $14 General / $12 Students, Seniors.
  • 9/12   MJC Homecoming Football Game and Alumni Celebration in the MJC Stadium. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with kick-off at 7 p.m. as the Pirate Football Team takes on the Falcons of West Hills College. The MJC Alumni Association and the ASMJC are planning an "Alumni Tunnel of Memories" to celebrate "Pirate Pride" and make the evening special. A "Pirate Playland" will be availablre for kids and food for sale in the snack bar.  $8 general, $5 students and seniors 62 and older, $3 MJC students with an Activity Sticker and children 7-10 years. Children 6 and under are free.
  • 9/24-27  Jam ‘n Jive Dance Concert on Sept. 24, 25, 26 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sept. 27 at 2 p.m., Auditorium of the Performing and Media Arts Center, East Campus.  Jam n' Jive is a modern dance performance featuring MJC's Off~Balance Dancers and dancers from area high schools and dance studios. The performers will dance to your favorite rock-n-roll tunes, as well as country, jazz and Broadway music.  $10 general / $8 students and seniors. Tickets available in advance online and at the MJC Box Office, and at the door 90 minutes before each performance.
  • 9/25  "David & Goliath in the Amazon" MAPS presentation, 7:30 p.m. in Forum 110 on East Campus. Emmy winning filmmaker Larry Lansburgh will relate the compelling story of how the Achuar, a small indigenous group known as "dream people of the Amazon," triumphed over big oil.
