MJC Health Services is offering free seasonal flu vaccines for MJC students and non-insured part-time staff/faculty. Health officials recommend flu vaccination for students and other high risk populations as an important preventative measure. This year they are recommending that students receive BOTH the seasonal flu vaccine (currently available) and the new H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine (projected to be available through MJC Health Services at the end of November for MJC students).
Seasonal Flu Vaccines (mist only) will be available while supplies last at both campus clinics on a "Walk-In" basis. Health Services is currently out of the injection vaccine until further notice. To receive a free seasonal flu vaccine students and non-insured part-time staff/faculty should visit MJC Health Services.
For Fulltime Staff & Faculty:
Due to the limited number of immunizations we will receive this year, we are not able to offer the seasonal flu vaccine to staff and faculty at this time. The public health department recommends, if you are insured, to visit your primary medical provider for the flu vaccination. For those who are uninsured, please use the link below to located a community clinic for a no to low cost vaccination.
