Concurrent Enrollment Procedures and Requirements for K-12 and Home Schooled Students

Students who are enrolled in K12 or Home Schooled may at the same time be enrolled in courses at Columbia College if they meet the following criteria:
 

     Must be in good standing with the school in which they are enrolled;
 
     Complete the college application and submit it to the Admissions & Records Office; 
 
     Complete all portions on the Concurrent Enrollment Release Form and submit the form to the Admissions and Records Office.  NOTE:  Home schooled students must obtain the signature of the superintendent or principal of the public school district in which the student resides; 
 
     Satisfy all course prerequisites as defined in the current college catalog;  Complete the college assessment prior to enrollment in math and/or English; 
 
     Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Yosemite Community College District; 
 
     Assume responsibility for payment of all fees incurred at the time of registration.  THIS BECOMES A PARENTAL FINANCIAL OBLIGATION IN THE EVENT THE STUDENT FAILS TO PAY.

Concurrently enrolled students may register during the open registration period.  Student will be classified as "Special Admit Students" and will not be allowed continuing student priority registration until said student has graduated from high School, earned a GED, High School Proficiency or is eighteen years of age.
