Students awarded FWS who are interested in literary work, America Reads or America Counts, in a Modesto City Elementary School, tutoring grade school students with reading or math must have a GPA of 2.5 or better, completed English 101 with a B or better and maintain at least 6 units. You need to be fingerprinted for clearance to work with these young people; the Financial Aid Office will absorb the cost. COMMUNITY EDUCATION (Off-Campus Site)
Classroom Facility Receptionist: Welcome Community Education students (kids, adults and older adults) to the facility and give directions to classrooms, distribute materials to instructors for classes, provide information on MJC and Community Education classes and programs, ensure classrooms are locked when not in use, collect completed materials from instructors to send to Community Education office, and additional duties as assigned, answer phone calls to the facility. Student workers will have ample opportunity to study and complete homework while at the work site.
