MJC Technology Plan
The MJC Technology Plan provides information regarding technology guidelines. The plan includes procedures, visions and recommendations for technological enhancement within MJC through 2012. The document is currently being reviewed and updated as our technological environment rapidly changes.

Dell Lease Program
The majority of our desktops on campus are leased through Dell. We purchased the following systems over the past few years:

  • OptiPlex 760 - 2009
  • OptiPlex 755 - 2008
  • Optiplex 745 - 2007
  • OptiPlex GX620 - 2006

If your system is not one of these listed above, and you are in an acadamic division at MJC, please fill out the Request for Exception to Computer Replacement Plan Form . Once we receive the complete and signed form, we will evaluate your request and add you to our lease program if approved.

YCCD Computer Purchases Through Dell
If your department is looking to purchase a computer system(s), please submit a HelpDesk work order so one of our technicians can evaluate your requirements. This assures that Technology Services can support the system you will purchase. If you would like to build your own system for your department, please use the YCCD Dell Purchasing Program site to obtain your quote. Please send your quote to MJC - Technology Services for review before purchasing.

Personal Computer Purchases Through Dell
If you would like to purchase a computer for personal use through Dell, our district has an agreement with Dell for a staff/faculty discount. Please use the YCCD Staff and Faculty Personal Purchase Program link from the HelpDesk to build and purchase your new system.
