C.A.R.E. Program
C.A.R.E. Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education
The CARE Program was developed to provide educational opportunities
for persons receiving Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF) benefits;
to provide support for their retention and academic or vocational objective;
and to assist in breaking away from public assistance.
Eligibility Requirements

Must be receiving TANF assistance

Be at least 18 years of age

Be single head of household
-
Have at least one child under the age of 14

Must apply for financial aid
-
Must be eligible for the EOP&S program

Must be a full time student (12 units or more)
-
Must maintain a GPA of at least 2.0
-
Must have a vocational or academic objective,

Attempting to earn a certificate of completion
-
or earning an AA/AS degree
