Some MJC Faculty require students to complete exams and quizzes using a special browser called "The Respondus Lockdown Browser". If your instructor has made this a requirement, you MUST access Blackboard and take your exams using this special browser. Your regular browser (Internet Explorer; Firefox; Chrome; etc...) will NOT work when attempting to open your exams or quizzes. When used, this special browser prevents users from opening another tab or page; it prevents the printing of test pages; creation of screen-shots of pages; etc.... The idea is to improve test security.
Before you attempt a quiz or test that requires the Respondus Lockdown Browser, you MUST download and install it on ALL computers you will be using. The tool is free and it only takes a few minutes to download and install. Use one of the links below to access a student guide or to download the browser itself.
