There are a number of computerized search programs and web sites available to help you generate a list of university campuses to consider. They contain a "matching assistant" that first asks you what your preferences are among some criteria and then provides a list of schools that match your preferences. You can then research the schools to assist with your college search.
MJC has a licensing agreement with Eureka a software program that you can access by visiting the Career Development & Transfer Center. Eureka has a component that allows you to research colleges, majors, occupations and scholarships.
Things to consider when choosing a college:
1. Does the school have the academic program you are interested in pursuing?
2. The size of the college & student population.
3. Scholarships & Financial Aid
4. Housing
5. Do they have job placement assistance?
6. Location and distance from home.
7. How much does it cost to attend?
8. What is the campus culture like?
9. Activities and Special Programs.
10. Your gut feeling.
