If you like to use the Internet to access services and information, then you’ll like PiratesNet as well. It’s MJC on the Web. PiratesNet is a web portal at MJC.edu that will help you do things online - like register for classes and check your grades. It’s even where you can go to class via Blackboard. Consider it MJC - online!

Every student - new and continuing - must establish a PiratesNet User Account and Password.
How to Create a PiratesNet User Account for a current student:
First Time Log-in: First time users of PiratesNet must first establish their account/User ID
1) Load the MJC website at www.mjc.edu
2) Click the PiratesNet button.
3) On the main menu, click the Current Students button.
4) The Current Students menu will open. Click on Log In.
5) In the fields provided, enter your User ID (“w” Number)—include the w –
do not capitalize and then enter your password.
- If this is your first time logging-in, your default password is your six digit birth date (example January 3, 1985---010385).
- If you don’t remember your User ID (“w” Number), click on the Main Menu, then click on “What is My User ID”.The “Retrieve my User ID (“w” Number)” form will display. Enter your last name, your eight digit Date of Birth (numbers only - ie 01121970) and the last four digits of your social security number, then click submit. Your User ID (“w” Number) will display.
6) Make note of your User ID and password. Store them in a safe place for future use. Do not share your password.
7) Click the “Current Students” Option.
How to Create a PiratesNet User Account for a Continuing Student:
1) Load the MJC website at www.mjc.edu.
2) Click the PiratesNet button.
3) On the main menu, click the Current Students button.
4) The Current Students menu will open. Click on Log In.
5) In the fields provided, enter your User ID (“w” Number) include the w – do not capitalize) and then enter your password.
- If this is your first time logging in, your default password is your six digit birth date (example January 3, 1985---010385)
- If you don't remember your User ID ("w" Number), click on the Main Menu, then click on "What is My User ID".The "Retrieve my User ID ("w" Number)" form will display. - If you don’t remember your password, click on the Main Menu. Then, click on “What’s my Password”. If you have an email address on file with the college, click on the link to reset your password. This will take you to the “Reset my password form”.
- Click on your email address and submit. Your temporary password will be immediately mailed to your email address. Begin again at Step 1.
- If you don’t remember your password and your hint doesn’t help you remember and you don’t have a personal email address on file, please phone the Student Help Desk at (209)575-7900.
6) Make note of your User ID and password. Store them in a safe place for future use. Do not share your password.
7) Click “Current Students” and choose your web option.
