At Modesto Junior College, continuing MJC students, students transferring from MJC to a four-year college or university, and high school students entering MJC, can apply for a variety of scholarships through one convenient application.

Eligibility:
- Complete the MJC Online Scholarship Application.
- Turn in two (2) MJC Scholaship Recommendation Forms.
- 2.5 Cumulative GPA
- Continuing and transfer students must have 12 or more units completed by Spring 2010. Current high school seniors are exempt from this requirement.
- Full-time during the Fall 2010-Spring 2011 academic year.
- Additional criteria varies.
- Read each scholarship description carefully before applying.
Deadline to submit online application and recommendation forms:
MJC Continuing and transfer students: December 18, 2009 at 5:00pm
Incoming high schools students: March 14, 2010 at 5:00pm
Applicants will be notified at the end of April 2010.

It is highly recommended that you review the MJC Scholarship Application Instructions before you submit your application.
It is also recommended that students attend a Scholarship Application Workshops for helpful advice on submitting the MJC Scholarship Application.
PLEASE NOTE: the MJC STARS Online Scholarship Application Program will match you with scholarships for which it thinks you meet the criteria and will provide you with "Recommended Scholarships." You may still “View All Scholarships” on the final page, whereby you can read through ALL of the scholarships available to make sure that the system has not omitted a scholarship for which you may still be eligible.
Recommendation Forms: You must submit two (2) recommendation forms as part of the application process. Recommendation forms should be from a campus faculty member, current or former teacher, agency representative, or other professional that can verify your academic performance and potential for success. Recommendations from friends and relatives are NOT allowed! Click on either link below to download the recommendation form. Recommendation forms can be mailed to the MJC Scholarship Office, 435 College Avenue, Modesto, CA 95355. Envelopes must be sealed and signed across the flap.
