On behalf of the IBET, the Eldorado National Forest is planning to fill a permanent, full-time Transportation Operations Specialist. This position is located at the Grass Valley Shop in Grass Valley, CA. The purpose of this Outreach Notice is to determine the potential applicant pool for this position and to establish the appropriate recruitment method and area of consideration for the advertisement. Duties: under general supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor, the Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring swimmers in the pool area, enforcing pool rules and regulations, preventing accidents and rescuing swimmers in distress during public swim sessions. Some evening and weekend work may be required; and do related work as required.

Qualifications: possess valid certificates in Lifeguard Training, Title 22, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid.

Duties: under the direction of the Aquatic Supervisor, the Instructor is responsible for organizing and instructing swim classes and maintaining records and documentation involved with instruction classes. Also, under direction, develop weekly lesson plans for assigned levels of instruction, conduct swim lessons and evaluate swim lessons participants in accordance with the American Red Cross guidelines. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications: possess valid certificates in Water Safety Instruction, Title 22, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid.
