Student Conduct

Two of the Core Values at Modesto Junior College are Inclusiveness and Integrity.

  • Inclusiveness: We value others and ourselves as unique individuals and celebrate both our commonalities and differences. We promote open communication, ongoing collaboration and the free exchange of ideas.
  • Integrity: We value mutual respect, honor the dignity of each individual and foster a civil and ethical environment.

To foster these values students are expected to understand their Rights & Responsibilities and follow the Standards of Conduct.

The Student Discipline Officer administers the Standards of Conduct and helps Division offices, instructors, students and Campus Safety handle violations of the Standards of Conduct including Academic Integrity and destructive or dangerous student behavior.

The Standards of Conduct governs the behavior of students on campus, at facilities controlled by the District or college, and at college-sponsored activities. Violations of the codes may subject individuals to the following disciplinary action:

  • Oral and Written Reprimand
  • Disciplinary Removal
  • Loss of Privileges
  • Disciplinary Probation
  • Disciplinary Suspension
  • Expulsion
