Careers

Prepares students for the basic repair procedures needed to obtain and entry level position in the auto body collision industry. The program provides complete and current instruction of repair practices used in the industry.

Career Opportunities: automotive body repairer, spray painter, auto glass installer, repair estimator, insurance adjuster, painter, and body customizer.


Automotive Technology


The program is designed to provide training in automotive repair and maintenance, study of factory manuals and publications, and applications of methods used in auto servicing and repair.

Career Opportunities:
technician, service manager, transmission technician, automotive electrician, repair estimator, and automotive machinist.

Communication Graphics


Students who acquire skills in design and printing & lithography gain necessary skills to be employed anywhere in the country.

Career Opportunities:
graphic designer, art director, layout artist, illustrator and free-lance designer, prepress technician, flexographic press operator, lithographic press press operator, bindery worker, press operator - flexographic prepress, cutter operator, stitcher, folder, foil stamper and embosser, and binder.

Electronics


Students study technical writing, interpret schematics and wiring diagrams, conduct experiments, analyze malfunctions and repair electronic equipment.

Career Opportunities: research & development, computer technology, diagnostics in power companies, industrial control, and biomedical technician areas.

Industrial Technology


There are 17 degree or certificate options available for students seeking professional training for technology relate carrers. Programs include Building and Safety Code Inspection, Residential Home Construction, General Plant/Facilities Maintenance, and Plant/Facilities Electrical Maintenance.

Career Opportunities:
carpentry, building inspector, construction supervisor, electrician, maintenance mechanic, maintenance electrician.

Machine Tool Technology


The program is designed to develop skills in a variety of metal removal and metal forming processes. Student learn to operate the drill press, precision grinding machines, as well as manual and computer controlled milling machines and lathes.

Career Opportunities: agriculture, aerospace, food processing, medical, electronics and automotive.

Welding


The program is designed to teach students welding of ferrous and nonferrous metals using various techniques including flat, vertical, overhead, and pipe.

Career Opportunities: farm equipment welder, shop welder. aircraft welder, marine welder, construction welder, research welder, welding instructor.
