Welcome to Nurse 361 and Nurse 362, work experience for the ADN student. Nursing work experience allows the ADN student to gain realistic experience in health care through employment in an acute care facility. Students practice selected fundamental skills taught in the ADN program under the guidance of a registered nurse. NOTE:Students will be required to provide proof of enrollment in Nurse 361 and /or Nurse 362, Nursing Work Experience, to the work experience coordinator or clinical supervisor prior to being scheduled for work experience shifts. This applies to all students, newly enrolled and returning students, participating in Nurse 361 and/or Nurse 362. Proof of enrollment will be required every semester.

Submit a work experience contract available through the ADN work experience coordinators. a. The contract is to list two objectives selected from the course objectives as areas of concentration. b. The contract is then signed by the student, work experience faculty coordinator, and the representative of the acute care facility During the semester the student must: 1. Meet with a work experience faculty coordinator once during the semester. 2. Document with nurse’s signature the dates and hours worked on the Work Experience Record. 3.
