Thanks to funding from the Measure E bond that was passed in November of 2004, MJC has seen the start of multiple construction projects. Check out the latest developments!
• The new Softball Field on West Campus is completed and a free public Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 11 a.m. Join us for this brief celebration and refreshments followed by three softball scrimmage games held at 12, 2 and 4 p.m.
• Several new building projects are currently under construction including MJC's Allied Health building, Agriculture Pavilion, and Science Community Center on West Campus, and the Student Services Building on East Campus.
• Also underway on East Campus is the renovation of Founders Hall. Most of the classes that are usually held in Founders have been relocated to "Pirates Village" - a complex of 39 modular classrooms constructed in the parking lot behind the Electronics, Journalism and Classroom Annex buildings on East Campus.
• The Performing and Media Arts Center, previously MJC's auditorium, re-opened in 2008 after renovation and expansion was completed, and again houses classes and performances.
• The new parking lot on Tully Road was completed in summer of 2009 and features 455 spaces (a net gain of 250 spaces).
• The District accepted a land donation for an MJC satellite site in Patterson.
