Thanks to funding from the Measure E bond that was passed in November of 2004, MJC has seen the start of multiple construction projects. Check out the latest developments!
• The Performing and Media Arts Center, previously MJC's auditorium, is now open and ready for classes and performances.
• The new parking lot on Tully Road has been completed and features 455 spaces (a net gain of 250 spaces).
• The District accepted a land donation for an MJC satellite site in Patterson.
• Several projects are currently under construction such as MJC's Allied Health building and the Agriculture Pavilion, or in the bid phase, such as the Student Services Building and the Science Community Center.
• The Founders Hall renovation will begin in the summer of 2010. In preparation for this project a new "Pirates Village" of modular classrooms will be constructed in the parking lot behind the Electronics, Journalism and Classroom Annex buildings on East Campus. Watch for the fencing around this parking area to go up in April of 2010!
