Spring 2026 will be the last semester of the Student Laptop Loan Program; a program providing a limited number of laptops to be checked out or "loaned" to students in need. The program began during the COVID-19 pandemic when Modesto Junior College utilized federal COVID grant funding to purchase an inventory of laptops to aid in the transition to online classes. The computers were checked out to students that did not have access to a laptop during a time where in-person classes were not an option. The expiration of equipment warranties have prompted the decision to end the Student Laptop Loan Program at the end of the Spring 2026 semester.
If you are a student in possession of a loaned laptop, please check your student email (email address ending in @my.yosemite.edu) for additional information and follow the steps to return the equipment by the end of the Spring 2026 semester.
Visit the Library and Learning Center for more information, call 209-575-6230 (East Campus), 209-575-6949 (West Campus)
or email circulation@mjc.libanswers.com with questions.

California Community Colleges have made it easier for students to transfer credits
between schools by using a new system called the Common Course Numbering (CCN) system
(AB 1111). This system gives the same course numbers and names to similar classes at all community
colleges in California. The goal of Common Course Numbering is to ensure that students
can easily identify courses that meet equivalent transfer requirements across all
California Community Colleges.
