Counseling Office

Phone: Voice, 575-6080 - TTY, 575-6633

The mission of the Counseling Center is to provide transfer and non-transfer students with timely and useful support services and quality information that will assist them in realizing their educational, career, and personal goals.

Counselors provide academic, vocational, and personal counseling services to MJC students. Counselors are available by appointment and on a "walk-in" basis (see walk-in schedule) to assist students in identifying needs, assessing strengths, and overcoming barriers to fulfilling their educational objectives. All students who have earned 15 units or more should develop an Educational Plan with a counselor.

It is highly recommended that students take a Guidance course as soon as possible upon enrolling at MJC. Valuable information will be covered in the course, including assistance with completion of an Educational Plan.
