Throughout its 88 year history, MJC Alumni have distinguished themselves through their contribution and service.  Beginning in 1967, the college has selected a Distinguished Alumni of the Year to represent the accomplishments of the past Alum and the dreams of those in the future.  That individual is asked to participate in the commencement ceremony and will be seated on the Dias with the colleges administration and distinguished guests.  Additionally, they will deliver a personal message to the graduating class.  The name of each year's honoree is added to a perpetual plaque that is on display in Founders Hall.
