General Information
These services are by appointment only. There is a cost for each service and/or certificate. The acceptable methods of payment are cash, credit/debit card or money order. During the Spring and Fall semesters, students may pay at the West Campus Business Services Office located in the lobby of Yosemite Hall. During the summer, fees can be paid by money order directly to the Testing Center, or at the East Campus Business Office using a credit or debit card. You must present the receipt as proof of payment before testing so allow enough time to get from the East to the West Campus. If possible we will schedule you on or near the date you need service, however we reserve the right to limit services to Thursday or Friday. Picture identification is required. Please call the number below for an appointment.
Proctored Tests
We offer proctoring services for students of distance learning who need a local certified testing center for mid-term or final exam administration. Many organizations have specific days and times their test must be given, therefore we reserve the right to authorize any proctored test request before scheduling it. Please do not have testing materials sent to Modesto Junior College without first having it authorized through us. The fee for proctored testing is $15.00 (1-3 hours) or $30.00 (4+ hours).
U.S. Constitution Tests
For teacher credentialing, we offer the U.S. Constitution test. There are no specific days or times the test is offered, but we will schedule you as closely as possible to the day and time that meets your need. During busy testing seasons, we may limit the days to Thursday or Friday. Also please keep in mind that our assessment test calendar is made in advance, so we must schedule around it. The cost to administer the U.S. Constitution Test is $15.00. Recommended study materials are "The Constitution of the United States;An Introduction" by Floyd G. Cullop or "The US Constitution for Everyone" by Jerome Agel & Mort Gerberg. A certificate is prepared immediately upon passing the test.
Typing Tests
Typing tests, including certificates, are also offered for a fee of $12.00. We use the International Typing Test Contest Rules guidelines. You will be tested using a keyboard and a stand-alone script. Mistakes are weighed at two points per error. Testing includes a warm-up and two five-minute timed tests. The best net score out of the two tests will be printed on your certificate.
Official GED Copies
We provide GED official copies (transcripts) for examinees who have previously tested and passed the GED test at MJC. The charge for an official copy is payable by cash, credit/debit card or money order.

If you are local, please stop by our office and complete a GED release form. You may pay at the time you pick up your copy. If you are out of state, send a letter with today's date, your name at the time of testing, approximate year of test, birth date, social security number, mother's maiden name, where you want the scores sent, your signature and a $5.00 money order. Requests received without a signature will not be processed. For quicker processing, a credit card authorization/release form can be e-mailed or faxed to you.
