On Campus

MJC offers two beautiful campuses in the heart of California's Great Central Valley. Both are less than two hours from the city life of San Francisco, the beaches of the Pacific Ocean, the State Capitol in Sacramento and great skiing and hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Conveniently located close to both major metropolitan areas and to pristine mountains, our campuses are popular with students near and far.

The East Campus is the MJC's original and primary campus and is located at 435 College Avenue in Modesto, close to downtown. In addition to numerous large classroom buildings, it houses the Media & Performing Arts Center, Gymnasium, Stadium, Student Center, Morris Administration Building and MJC's main Library. The MJC East campus is served by several municipal bus lines and an inter-campus shuttle.

The West Campus contains new classroom building, Sierra Hall, and a new multipurpose building, Yosemite Hall. Located at 2201 Blue Gum Avenue, it is home to the Child Development Center, Child Care Center, Print Shop and the offices for Yosemite Community College District.

Technical education, culinary arts, nursing, medical and dental assisting and other allied health and consumer sciences are also held on West Campus. The Mary Stuart Rogers Student Learning Center, a student center providing food, computer services, and recreational opportunities, opened in late 2005 and anchors the West Campus plaza.
