This fun and engaging hands-on class will demonstrate what it takes to solve a crime. Kids will learn about fingerprinting, crime scene photography, blood splatter, glass comparison and evidence collection. The class will culminate with students solving a crime.

Discover the Chinese Language - Ages 8-11
Have fun learning a new culture while exploring the 4 tones of the Mandarin language. Learn a number of basic phrases. Sing songs, count and retell a simple story in Chinese. Kids are sure to have fun going on a Chinese expedition using origami, Tai Chi, and calligraphy. Chinese cooking will close each day.

Vex Robotics
Beginning - Ages 13-18
Students will learn to build and program robots to perform simple tasks using the Vex Robotics system (used in many high school-level competitions), with emphasis placed on basic mechanics and engineering principles. This course is designed for students without previous robotics or programming experience, though prior experience is beneficial. The instructor has coached competitive Vex high school robotics teams for 4 years.

Vex Robotics - Intermediate/Advanced

LEGO® Mindstorms
Intermediate - Ages 9-12

Challenges - Ages 12-18
This is a serious learning experience combining hands-on LEGO® construction, programming techniques, and a final, fun challenge requiring a stretch of creativity. Each student will work at his/her own pace to build and program two to three robots from instructions, then build a customized robot for the creative challenge.

Car Care for Teens: Designed for teenage drivers or those that will be driving soon! Ages 14-17
This class is for the novice car owner who wants to learn more about basic preventative maintenance for keeping expensive repairs down and keeping their car running efficiently. Lecture, demos, and hands-on activities will identify car parts, fluid levels, and tire pressure. Learn how to properly change your car's oil, tire, light bulbs and more! Bring safety glasses to each class. Class price includes disposal of hazardous waste and used oil filter.

A must do to help your preteen entering, and teens attending, high school. Learn the Why, What, When, Where, and How to improve communication skills. Activities are designed to help empower your preteen or teen to increase their ability to confidently identify or resist negative influences by learning the "True" Friendship inventory technique. This class is a fun, interactive way to expand positive vocabulary and to reinforce the importance of positive body language and first impressions. Participation in this class can be added to your resume and applications.
