Web Tales and Jelly Belly Math are some of the ways to aspire your kids with academics this summer. Blending writing and technology are great ways for building skills in language arts. Webtales are stories that kids will write using a thesaurus to find new words, a dictionary to check spelling, and a computer for adding clip art. Kids will have more motivating fun when they use their own spider drawings, M&Ms and prizes to help with elementary math, theory, discussion, solving word problems and much more. Workshop includes indoor and outdoor educational activities, a 30-minute supervised lunch break, prizes, an A+ badge and, best of all, No Homework! $5 fee paid to each instructor on the first day of class.

Green Energy Academy - Ages 14-17
This two week program provides students with an opportunity to explore energy and sustainability technologies. You will gain the opportunity to participate in labs in energy efficiency, solar, wind, bio-energy and alternative fuels. The sessions will end with a creative segment where you will share and develop future concepts and present your ideas. Materials included in class fee.

Writing Your Personal Statement for the College Application - 11th and 12th Graders
How to get your foot in the door for college! Here’s an opportunity for college-bound high school juniors and seniors, or transfer students, to learn how to write a unique, dynamic personal narrative to prepare for your college application essay. You’ll have the chance to practice writing portions of a personal essay and view samples of others. Any student can significantly enhance grades and chances for scholarships and college admissions by performing academic skills in alignment with the brain’s natural patterns. This makes note-taking, reading, studying, memorizing and test-taking amazingly efficient. Learn to better understand math, optimize concentration, and prevent test anxiety. The instructor graduated at the top of his class with a 4.0 GPA, and has a Juris Doctor Degree from Brigham Young University. Multiplication Fun - Ages 8-12
Does your child have trouble memorizing multiplication facts? Multiplication is one of the basic building blocks for success in math. Kids will learn facts in a fun way - singing songs, learning tricks, playing games and doing some fun art projects. Kids will have a banana split party celebrating their memorized multiplication facts on the last day of class! Students will work with tables 2-9 for the majority of the class, tables 0, 1 and 10’s are briefly discussed. $5 material fee paid to instructor. Class will meet in Rm 103 on last day.

Quiz Show - Are You Poppin’ for Manners? - Ages 7-12
Double your points when you score with this humorous class! Kids will have a blast as they use music, team problem solving, role-play, prizes and a unique Balloon Quiz Show Contest to reinforce manners. As an added bonus kids will focus on Host with the Most” and “Guest with the Best” as they use dining and table manners to partake in a formal luncheon on July 8th. You’ll learn appropriate manners to be used with peers, teachers, and family whether at home, school, sporting events or in public. $7 material fee paid to instructor.

Pirate Treasures of Politeness - Ages of 7-12
This fun filled week is designed to keep children entertained, inspired and eager to learn manners and social skills. Kids will create a Treasure Island environment, complete with a forest, waterfall, village, quicksand, lagoon, swamp, mountain and a shipwreck on the beach. Then Mates will go on an adventure in search of riches and win prizes as they are quizzed on manners at each location. Manners are reinforced with role playing, problem solving and hands on craft projects and much more. $5 material fee paid to instructor.
