Discover Tuscany - 10 Days
November 3-12, 2009 - Six nights in one hotel!

This fabulous trip flies in and out of Rome and highlights Florence, San Gimignano, Montecatini Terme, and Siena. Day two arrive in Rome where your tour begins with a welcome dinner. Day three travel to Assisi where a local expert guides you on a tour of the Basilica of St. Francis and the historic old city. Travel from there to the spa resort town of Montecatini your home for the next six nights! Day eight return to Florence and enjoy a guided tour of the Pitti Palace. See master works by artists such as Raphael, Rubens, and Caravaggio and tour staterooms of this former royal palace. Day nine depart Montecatini for Rome. Upon arrival tour classic Rome featuring the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Roman Forum and Piazza Venezia. Copper Canyon Adventure - 9 Day Tour
February 21-March 1, 2010

Fly into Tucson where you will enjoy a welcome dinner and spend the first night. On Day two cross the Mexican border and go through the beautiful Sonora Desert to the Sea of Cortez. Day three enjoy a day of leisure to explore San Carlos. Day four visit a pearl farm and learn the process of cultured pearl production and the effort to replenish the gulf with these once plentiful species. Enjoy an overnight stay in the beautiful colonial city of El Fuerte which was founded by Spaniards in 1564, and sits in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Tonight enjoy a memorable folkloric show. Day five travel on the Chihuahua Pacifico Railroad that takes in the most scenic portions of the 25,000 square miles of canyon from sea level to almost 8,000 feet via numerous tunnels and countless bridges. Upon arrival at your hotel, your home for the next two nights, enjoy the stunning views from the rim of the canyon. Day six experience the Tarahumara's culture when tribal members perform for you. See their traditional dance, tribal games and a foot race demonstration. Embark on a tour of the area called Divisadero; visit the small church and the balancing rock precariously positioned at the canyon's edge. Day seven a trip through the canyon brings you to the town of Creel, one of the largest and most populated towns in the Copper Canyon, sitting 7,874 feet above sea level. Next, visit the Mennonite Museum near Cuahetmoc where you will enjoy a homemade lunch before continuing on to Chihuahua. Day eight tour Chihuahua featuring the home of the Mexican Revolutionary leader, Pancho Villa, and other highlights. Later cross back into the United States, arriving in El Paso, Texas. This wonderful trip highlights parts of Australia and New Zealand. Due to crossing the International Date Line and overnight travel, the tour begins on Day three in Cairns, Australia where you spend the first three nights. Day four board a high speed catamaran for an excursion to the Great Barrier Reef. Day five visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Center. Learn about the Aborigiinal lifestyle and even throw a boomerang. This afternoon visit Hartley's Croc Farm where you may see crocodiles, koalas and kangaroos. Day six fly to the city of Sydney. This evening, dine atop the city at Sydney's Revolving Restaurant with spectacular views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Exploring the Alpine Countries & Oberammergau
The Passion Play
July 14-26, 2010

Join Community Education for this spectacular once in a lifetime trip! The world-renowned Oberammergau Passion Play that began in 1634 still continues every ten years. After an overnight flight arrive on Day two in Vienna, Austria where you will stay two nights. Day three tour highlights of Vienna including Belvedere Palace and St. Stephan's Cathedral. Day four depart Vienna and embark on a cruise on the Danube River. Later visit the Benedictine Abbey in Melk, before continuing on to Salzburg. Day five enjoy a walking tour of the Alstadt (Old Town) highlighting the Cathedral, Mozart's birthplace, and Mirabell Gardens. Tonight is a memorable Mozart Dinner Concert at the centuries-old St. Peter's Restaurant. Listen to some of Mozart's most popular compositions performed by local artists in colorful, historic costumes. Day six travel through picturesque Austria to Munich, Germany. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour featuring the Olympic Park, Marienplatz and the Glockenspiel. Next, depart for the quaint village of Oberammergau. Day seven enjoy a performance of the Passion Play. During the Thirty Year War, the village of Oberammergau made a vow that if God spared them from the Black Plague that was sweeping the region they would perform a passion play honoring the life of Christ every ten years. The performers are native Oberammergauers. The cast starts to grow their hair and beards more than a year in advance and the intricate costumes are made locally by the villagers. Day eight visit Wies Church, a World Heritage site. Continuing on view Neuschwanstein, the most famous castle in Bavaria on your way to the Rhine Falls where you will spend the night in the Black Forest. Day nine visit Chateau de Chillon on Lake Geneva. Continue on into the fabulous Swiss Alps. Upon arrival in Tasch, board a train for the short ride to the spectacular Alpine village of Zermatt. Day ten enjoy a tour of the village. Day eleven travel to the beautiful medieval city of Lucerne. Enjoy a leisurely-paced Alstadt (Old Town) walking tour of the city with more than 800 years of history. This afternoon travel to the Swiss capital of Bern.
