Computers for Absolute Beginners
This hands-on class will introduce new computer users to the personal computer and its uses. Your instructor will quickly put you at ease and you will soon be able to feel comfortable using a computer. This class is taught on Windows-based computers. You will learn the use of the mouse, and how to use a Windows-based word processing program. By the end of the course you should feel comfortable creating, saving and retrieving documents.
No previous computer experience is necessary. A basic book is included.

Beginning Computers - The Next Step
Now that you can turn your computer on and use a few programs you may ask "What’s Next?" The answers can be found in this simple Next Step course. You will learn more about Microsoft Office applications and Windows.

Computer Boot Camp for 55+
This hands-on offering will move at a slower pace than our other beginning computer classes. You will learn parts of a computer, basic computer terms, use of the mouse, how to create a letter using word processing, and more. By the end of class, you should be able to create, save and retrieve documents, and how to move around the computer with confidence.

PowerPoint Presentations - Beginning
Come and learn the newest features and techniques that will give your presentation pizazz! No matter what type of presentation you are creating (i.e., school or business), this class will help set you apart from others. The verbal part of your presentation may be very professional, but unless the visual part is just as professional, you will lose your audience.

Prerequisite: Beginning Windows class or knowledge of Windows.
We will cover the basic features of Word 2007. You’ll learn to create, edit and save documents, manipulate and format text and paragraphs, find and replace text, and use

Excel 2007 - Intermediate
If you already have taken the Beginning Excel 2007 class, or have a good basic knowledge of Excel 2007, then this class will help expand your knowledge of Excel. You will learn how to name cells, use advanced formulas and functions, protect worksheets, link workbooks, import and export data, use pivot tables, and templates.

QuickBooks Pro 2009 - Beginning
Prerequisite: Must be familiar with the computer and Windows. QuickBooks is one of the most popular accounting programs for small businesses. This course will introduce the novice to QuickBooks and the accounting principles. The class will cover working with customer transactions and vendor transactions. You’ll learn to manage credit card transactions and to use QuickBooks reconciliation features. You’ll create a QuickBooks file for a service company.

QuickBooks Pro 2009 - Intermediate
Prerequisite: Either a working knowledge of QuickBooks, or the beginning class listed above. You’ll build on the knowledge acquired in QuickBooks Beginning. Using practice files for a merchandising company, you’ll learn to deal with physical inventory and sales tax, setting up and using QuickBooks for payroll. You’ll explore the estimates, job costing, and time-tracking features, as well as the use of classes. Lastly, learn to enter general journal entries, customize reports, and create custom templates.
