New Class Begins February 6, 2012

phlebotomyThe next class for Phlebotomy Technician will begin Monday, February 6.
Classes will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:45 p.m.

You MUST attend one of the Information Meetings listed below - No Exceptions!

Monday, December 12 - 5:30 p.m. OR 6:15 p.m.
at Lifelong Learning Center - Room 101, 1219 N. Carpenter Road

OR Wednesday, January 4 - 5:30 p.m. OR 6:15 p.m.
at the East Campus (435 College Avenue) Forum Building, Room 102

Our program is designed to prepare students to be well-trained, professional Phlebotomists.

Application (February 6)

A qualified applicant will have all of the necessary paperwork and prerequisites mentioned in the Information Packet that you can download from the above link.

THIS PROGRAM WILL:
Prepare you for an entry-level position in a variety of settings
Provide 60 hours of classroom instruction

Provide 40 hours of externship - Practical Instruction in a Clinical Setting. NOTE: this will be 1 full week, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Students must complete a minimum of 50 venipunctures, a minimumm of 10 skin punctures, and observe two arterial blood draws.

Prepare you to take a national Phlebotomy Certification Examination
Will prepare you to apply for a California Phlebotomy Technician I Certificate

Designed to be completed in 3 to 6 months

Tuition - $2,300
(includes textbooks, lab material costs and liability insurance)
