Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy technician at workNew Program Beginning September 2012

The new Pharmacy Technician class will begin in September 2011. You will receive over 600 hours of classroom and hands-on learning 260 hours of classroom time and 340 hours of externship at various facilities for a total of 600 hours. Price for 2011 course - $4,950.

Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and also some Wednesday evenings.

To be considered for the program you must take and pass two tests:

Qualifiying Math Test:

90 minute limit - calculators allowed.

Study guide is available (see below)

This math test will use Pharmaceutical Calculations (review pre-algebra - fractions, ratios, decimals, percentages). 

Pharmacy Qualifying Math Exam will be given:

Reading Requirement:
NOTE: Please do this as soon as possible so you won't need to try and do it at the last minute.
Student must have an AA degree or higher from a U.S. College OR you must take the MJC Reading Accuplacer test and obtain a score of 70 or higher OR successfully completed Reading 82 or higher with a "C" or higher.

Please Note: Your application will not be accepted for recommendation unless you have met these requirements, so it is highly recommended that you complete the assessment testing promptly.
