Basic Supplies for Every Quilt Class:
A sewing machine will be available at class OR you can bring your own
Sewing machine in good working order
Rotary cutter with sharp blade
Ruler to use with rotary cutter
Mat for rotary cutter
Thread to match fabrics or a good neutral like light grey
-bring several spools
Bobbins for your sewing machine.
If you use the MJC sewing machines, there will be bobbins for use in class
Scissors
Straight pins
Pencil and paper to take notes

They should be able to help you with your fabric choices if you need advice. Make sure to always use 100% cotton fabrics and prewash it before coming to class.
Other items that are helpful are curved quilters safety pins for pin basting your quilt and a walking (even feed) foot to fit your machine for machine quilting.
I expect every student to have all the supplies necessary for each class and be ready to start at the beginning of the class. I am only familiar with my own machine so you need to bring a machine you are familiar with. Bring the manual if you have it.
