Suzuki Piano - Ages 3-8
Suzuki’s success has proven not only that young children are capable of learning to play an instrument, but also that they derive genuine pleasure from their music making. Most importantly, the enjoyment and confidence gained from success with music has the positive side effect of fostering a strong, positive attitude toward other areas of learning. In addition to the weekly group lesson held at Modesto Junior College, you will pay for a weekly private lesson arranged through the Suzuki Piano Coordinator. Call 575-6063 for an application. After acceptance into the program, a fee of $25 per family is payable to MJC. There is a waiting list, so please plan ahead.
Suzuki Guitar - Ages 3-16
In addition to the group lesson held at Modesto Junior College, your child will also have a weekly private lesson. You will be responsible to pay the instructor for the private lesson. In addition to the fee you will pay for the private lesson, there is a $25 per family semester fee for MJC. Call our office at 575-6063 and request an application for the guitar program. Fill the form out, return it to the Guitar Coordinator, David Chapman. He will contact you with the instructor information. Once you have an instructor assigned, you will then pay the $25 per family semester fee to MJC Community Education (this fee covers the monthly group lessons).
