Cardio-Toning to Classic Tunes - #1744
Join us while we condition our hearts and tone our muscles to the beat of classic tunes–perfect for energizing your mind and your body. Aerobic conditioning is an essential part of maintaining a healthy heart. In this class we will combine low-impact aerobic exercises with resistance band routines resulting in a great total body workout regardless of your fitness level. Don’t miss this fun and effective workout. $5 material fee paid to instructor for resistance band. A mat for resistance band training is highly recommended. It is recommended that you consult your doctor prior to staring an exercise program.

Fly Fishing for Fun - #1701
Fly fishing is a great way to relax, have fun, and enjoy the great outdoors with family and friends. Learn what rods, reels, and line to use and how to assemble them, what to purchase, and what flies or streamers to use. Then class will go outside for actual fly casting experience. Eric Christensen has been an avid fisherman and instructor for over 30 years. $15 equipment rental and material fee payable to instructor at class.

Early Birders - #1687
This course is designed for the beginning or intermediate bird watcher in the study and identification of birds. This class will enhance your appreciation and enjoyment of wildlife and nature. We will spend two Saturday sessions at local area public lands, hiking and learning to identifying birds. Bring binoculars (power 7- or 8-) to our first class and on our field trips. Recommended but optional, bring any field guide to first class and on field trips - suggested book,: "The Sibley Field Guide to Birds of Western North America" available in paperback at bookstores or library.

Using the art of Tai Chi Chuan students begin to learn a sophisticated series of movement and balance that enables them to anticipate and ward off the opponent. Force is never met head-on. Rather, the practitioner of Tai Chi Chuan will subtly neutralize and divert on coming energy and turn it back against the opponent. Discover your inner-power, mental attitude and awareness. This is an introduction-level course.

Beginning T’ai Chi Ch’uan - #8875 & #8876
T’ai Chi Ch’uan is an ancient form of the pugilistic art often referred to in the West as "shadowboxing." T’ai Chi has been refined into a slow, graceful, rhythmic exercise that promotes good health in all-young and old alike. This relaxing movement improves the nervous system and blood circulation, relieving stress. After an initial period of a year or so, a practitioner will feel, while executing the relaxed and continuous movements, a stream of heat circulating out toward every fingertip. Welcome new students of all ages and abilities.

Stability Ball Workout: Get on the Ball! - #0581
In this class you will get a great total body workout using the stability ball. Stability ball training is an excellent way to increase your core strength, muscle strength, balance, posture and flexibility. This class will be scaled to accommodate every level so join us whether you are new to exercise and the stability ball or an experienced exerciser looking for new routines and moves. Fitness: Walking in the Park - #0582
This is a self-paced fitness walking program designed for walkers of all levels. In this class you will learn some of the techniques used in the sport of race walking. These techniques will help you improve your everyday walking performance, your cardiovascular system and your muscular strength. This class is great for those who don’t have the joints to jog or who would simply like to learn how to walk right by a jogger. Put one foot in front of the other and join us for this fun and insightful class. Please bring an Omron HJ-112 pedometer (or one that you can program your own walking step length into) to class each week. Also bring paper and pencil to track your progress. It is recommended that you consult your doctor prior to starting any exercise program.
