Manners for Kids/Teens

Learning manners when young can help children throughout life when in a variety of situations with their peers and adults. Manners will never go out of style!

Why is Polite Right? Ages 7-11 - #1621
This workshop will emphasize and reinforce the mannerly actions and reactions kids can use through body language, tone of voice, and choice of words to express their "true" feelings. Manners are a sign of strength and empower kids, even in difficult situations, to make more positive decisions. Kids will discover why "manners are not for wimps" and how they can enable them to gain respect, and provide comfortable opportunities to develop lasting, beneficial positive relationships at home, at school, and in public. They can learn to use mannerly words, actions, and deeds shown by their peers to evaluate "true friendships". Learning how to resist negative influences will also be discussed to help increase self-confidence. Appropriate behavior and manners will be taught through lively humor and comfortable interactive activities and games including: "Body Language’s Silent Yells", "Fabulous Phases Relay Race", "Thank You Note Challenge" and the "Listen and Copy That Contest" using music and songs. Incentive prizes and handouts will be provided for reinforcements. $4 material fee paid to instructor at class.
