Join us as we move into the fourth decade of Modesto Junior College’s student fine arts competition, by entering your best work in one or more of over twenty contests from the listed categories by Tuesday, March 25^th, 2008 and participating in the festivities and Celebration Awards, Saturday, April 12^th, 2008.

PRIZES:  OVER $6000 IN CASH AWARDS.  Each contest awards certificates and cash prizes of $150, $100, and $50.  The jurors will award or not award cash prizes based on the number of entries received within a contest.

REGISTRATION:  A non-refundable $5.00 Registration Fee is required of all participants.  Payment of this fee allows students to submit any number of entries, subject to the limitations of the individual contests.  Registration begins at the MJC BUSINESS OFFICE on East or West campus, Monday, November 26^th.

SUBMISSIONS:  See Individual Contest Categories about submissions and acceptance dates.  A copy of your Registration Receipt is required for each contest that you enter.

CONTEST DEADLINE FOR ALL REGISTERED SUBMISSIONS:

5 pm, Tuesday, March 25^th, 2008

Late entries will NOT be accepted.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

CELEBRATION FESTIVITIES will be held on Saturday, April 12^th, 2008 at the MJC East Campus Arts Complex, off South Drive and Stoddard Avenue.  Admission to all these events is free.

  ART EXHIBIT OPENING: 12:00 – 1:00 pm,

East Campus Art Gallery,
South Drive, across from Founders Hall.
Exhibition Dates: April 7^th – April 18^th, 2008.

AWARDS CEREMONY: 1:00 – 3:00 pm

East Campus Recital Hall, Music Bldg, Rm 108.
The ceremony will include recitations and a variety
of performances. Reservations are necessary. View a list of past contest winners.

RECEPTION: 3:00 – 4:30 pm

East Campus Arts Patio, following the ceremony.
For winners, participants and guests.
Refreshments will be served.
