Public & Student Parking.

How does parking work at MJC?

As an MJC student, you are required to pay parking fees daily, or per semester. You can purchase a daily parking pass at any Day Pass Machine (DPM) available in most parking lots.

Visitor parking is available to persons that are not students, staff, faculty or guests of YCCD. Visitor parking is only available at spaces marked with a green curb. Visitor Parking is for 30 minutes only.

When may I purchase a permit?

You may purchase a semester parking permit while paying your enrollment fees, or at any time during a semester. You may purchase your permit online during registration, or at the Business Office. Parking permits are distributed in two styles; hanging permits, or decal permits. Decal permits are reserved for those who own Jeeps, convertible vehicles, mopeds and motorbikes.

What if I have a disability?

Persons with disabilities, under Section 22511. 5CVC, may park in designated disabled parking stalls, or staff parking stalls if no disabled stalls are available. You may not use areas that are not indicated as parking areas. If you have a short-term disability, you may apply for a short-term permit at a Health Services office which will allow you to park closer to your class.
