Modesto Junior College offers numerous scholarships to eligible students. The scholarships, ranging from $200 to $2,000 per year for new and continuing students and up to $3,500 for transfer students. Theyare sponsored by the College, MJC Foundation, and many community donors. Scholarships are awarded each spring by the MJC Scholarship Committee, as well as off-campus committees. Committee members review the applicants' scholastic achievements, educational objectives and financial need. Additional factors such as honors, community service and organizational affiliations are also considered.
Usually, a student must be attending full time with a minimum 3.00 grade point average to receive a scholarship. A limited number of scholarships are available for which a minimum GPA of 3.00 is not required.

Health Professions Education Foundation The Foundation offers scholarships to health professional students who are enrolled or accepted into California's accredited colleges, and universities. You may apply for one of these scholarships if you are pursuing the following health professional careers: Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwifery, Dentists, and Vocational Nursing.
